Almond Flour Cake

Makes one 9 inch pan.
- 1 1/2 c. + 2 Tbs. blanched almond flour (181 grams)
- 2 Tbs. ground flax seed
- 1 Tbs. arrowroot starch (6 grams)
- 2 tsp. baking powder (8 grams)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 4 large eggs, room temperature (193 grams)
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract (8 grams)
- 1 Tbs. melted coconut oil
- 1 Tbs. melted butter
- butter for greasing the pan
- arrowroot for dusting the pan
- parchment paper
Grease a 9 inch round cake pan, then line the bottom with parchment paper, grease again, then dust with arrowroot flour.
Melt the butter and coconut oil in a pan, then set aside to cool.
In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, mix together the wet ingredients. Then combine and pour into the cake pan.
Bake at 350 F for 30 min.
